The bed was very hard. I asked if we could change rooms they said they would get back to me and never did.
The mini bar they keep locked. One night I got them to open it the next night they never came when I called again to open it.
I used Uber when I was there. Way less then a taxi. The hotel discouraged this multiple times. I’m assuming they get a taxi kickback as much as they insisted we use a taxi.
The hotel overall is in decent condition. The location was super close to a beautiful park that we enjoyed and it was a close walk to many other things. Not a lot of good food options close by so we got stuck with room service a couple times which was decent but hotel prices for sure.
Overall there are so many private condo rentals for much less and other hotels to try that I can’t see us staying here again.
I's like to say the service was great but the same time, I was a little disappointed with the front desk at Check in. It was very annoying in fact. They try to run multiple authorization on the cards (yes cards because they were being declined due the the number of authorization within minutes of each other). I did not know this until I actually got in the the room and got email notification from the cards companies.
Negative experience aside, I was very happy with everything else. The bell man was very nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable with beautiful view of the park and Castillo Chapultepec. Good size closet. Regular hairdryer (not one of those tiny ones attached to the wall), L'Occitane toiletries, complimentary bottled water. I recommend using the bottles water in the bathroom when brushing your teeth. The tap water smelled like paint which is very noticable in the shower.
There's a good restaurant in the hotel which I recommend trying. The breakfast was amazing. The service was great in the restaurant!
The hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, including Starbucks if you must.. The Park is just across the street, which leads you towards the Chapultepec Castle and many other tourist attractions and monuments. Going out of the hotel to the right will take you towards Ave Presidente Masaryk which is line with Lux shopping and restaurants.
The room service was good and not overpriced. Maid service was excellent.
I would recommend and stay at this hotel again.
"Great Hotel in Mexico City"
I spent a night for the first time here and was gladly surprised due to to it's very good location. Quick check in / out, with kind and efficient staff. The cleanliness of its rooms and bathrooms (well equipped with L'Occitane da Provence products). Queen size bed and pillows absolutely comfortable. Mini bar fridge full. Air conditioning worked great. Bluetooth mini speaker. Epic views from the room to Chapultepec Park and Castle. It was very safe to walk to nearby restaurants, just ask the front desk staff or concierge for directions. If you want to go to Polanco, Presidente Masarik or Condesa neighborhoods take an Uber XL (good rates in Mexico) and in no more than 20 minutes you will get to your destination. Airport is conveniently near, 40 min max with high traffic.
I highly recommend staying there. It is the best rate / quality offer in this part of the city.
"Amazing hotel, the best service in Mexico city"
This hotel is conveniently located 8 minutes walk from the castle. In the middle of an area where you can walk to restaurants, bars and little cafes. The restaurant at the hotel is very good indeed and the service is exceptional. They upgraded us to a suite and it really pays for itself by considering the free breakfast and happy hour in the evening. The capitan offered us a special romantic dinner overlooking the castle. What about amazing experience.
"An excellent hotel"
We spent a week at this hotel and were very pleased with our experience. Our room, which overlooked Chapultepec park, was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, especially the concierge. Breakfast options were numerous and quite adequate. The hotel's location, right adjacent to Chapultepec Park, is ideal for joggers, birdwatchers, strollers. While the hotel was not within easy walking distance of the central tourist area (large hotels, many restaurants) in Polanco, we were able to get there (or anywhere else in Mexico City) cheaply, easily and safely using Uber. While the hotel's rates were much less than the luxury hotels in Polanco (especially on weekends), we found it just as attractive and elegant. While the hotel appears to cater mostly to a business clientele we think it offers a great deal for tourists in the luxury category.
