Location #1 of 15 hotels in San Pedro Garza Garcia
Certificate of Excellence 2017
Summary of qualifications
"No free coffee here"
Nice rooms, new hotel. Coffee maker in room, but the they slip in a charge at check out for each coffee pod you use, The charge is minimal but with no note in the room that there is a charge for the coffee pods, out of principle, it's not right. The hallways and common areas need better ventilation.
Rooms are cooled to 18 degrees Celsius, 64 degrees Fahrenheit, no matter what the thermostat is set to or what special requests are made at the front desk. Even turning off the AC was futile, as it would be back on when I returned to the room. The rest of the facilities were adequate to good, but this one issue could not be resolved. If you like a very cold room, this is the place for you. I will not stay here again.
"Nice Hotel in the best area of San Pedro"
This is a very good option to stay in Monterrey (San Pedro), is very well located, and very good service. Brand new Hotel with nice view, and close to the shopping mall, restaurants, hospitals, etc. I recomend this Hotel for business and pleasure.
"Could have been better"
Ambiance is too modern and sterile for our taste. Location and guest services were excellent with the exception of Housekeeping. Leaving a room without trash removal or replenishment of towels and other items presented a hardship to us as guests, regardless of circumstances.
"Good - but lighting is an issue"
This hotel is close to many of the restaurants and shopping in the area. You can reach nearby restaurants via the pedestrian bridge or by street level cross walks. Which ever path you chose, you will need to cross busy traffic at some point without the aid of a traffic light to reach the main shopping mall. The hotel is very clean with a great staff that speak English. One incident that I found strange was when I asked about the location of an ice machine. After one staff member asked another, who called another, who assured me there was a machine on the 14th floor. I was not able to find it. The other issue is the lighting. The rooms rely on spot lights with little diffused light available. The lighting in the bathrooms is a complete train wreck. Only spot lights are used and they cast heavy shadows that make every procedure, including shaving, untenable. IMMEDIATE replacements are required. Breakfast features great pastries, some fruit, and pancakes that are always overdone. The 4th floor restaurant is decent, and the neighboring Nine Fires restaurant is outstanding. I tried a restaurant on the 18th floor (?) which was good, but everything was a bit too gourmet for my pedestrian tastes. I well let others review that establishment. Overall, a clean quiet place in the right location. Just add some decent snacks to the mini-bar and fix the lighting.
