Summary of qualifications
"Very impressive hotel, service and food"
I have to admit...after my visit last year to Monterrey where I stayed at a hotel near our plant I didn’t think the city would have the caliber of hotel like the Grand Fiesta. I was wrong. This is a lovely hotel, just opened a year ago,and the room was well appointed and comfortable. Staff was great and breakfast was lavish and delicious. Gym was excellent though a tad confusing to find on the 19th floor (one elevator takes you to 18th floor and then you walk up the stairs to 19). When I got lost a hotel person saw me wondering around and quickly escorted me to the gym. Very nice. And did I mention how beautiful this area of Monterrey is? Delightful visit. We also hosted several days within the ballroom for meetings and that went very well. Bravo Grand Fiesta Americana Monterrey!
"Good Choice in San Pedro"
With some attention to detail, it's not hard to imagine this hotel enter the 5 star region. There is much to like; great buffet breakfast, excellent views from every angle, gorgeous fixtures and comfy beds.
Gaze out the lobby window to the parched bamboo dying in rows out front and wonder why? Room lights that strobe like disco balls, loud heater a/c system....you get the picture.
Yet I would definitely love to stay here again...warts and all.
Viva La Mexico!
"Nice decor, but inconsistent service"
This is a nice, modern hotel if you are coming for a short business stay. The gym and amenities are very good, along with easy access to many restaurants and upscale mall across the street. The overall decor of the rooms and common areas are very modern and updated which I like. My main hesitation with this hotel is the inconsistency in service. I was here for 4 nights, and preordered the same breakfast everyday from the room service menu. Each day something new came or was missed. One day I didn't receive the toast, one day I didn't receive jams or butter, one day the eggs were completely different, and one day I received it all correctly. One night I ordered soup and did get a spoon. As far as the rooms are concerned, the first night I didn't have soap for my shower, but I called and they brought me some. I also found several strands of hair in the towels or on the chair, but they were cleaned the next day. I had multiple colleagues staying at the same time and we were laughing each day when we spoke about what we received the previous night. I had turndown service one evening with a mat and slippers between the bed. Nobody else received that. One of them had snacks in a drawer above the bar, but I did not have any. These are all relatively minor things, but when it happens each day, you begin to question the reliability and wonder what you are actually going to receive the next day. It's simple inconsistency and lack of attention to detail that makes me rethink staying there. Overall the staff are very friendly and accommodating, but service levels were all over the board. One positive is that the beds and sheets are good. The walls are relatively thin, so you may hear your neighbors, but I didn't have any issues with sleeping, which can sometimes happen in hotels. The shower is also nice, but again- I received a handheld loofa sponge along with my soaps, but I was the only one in my group to get one. Nice hotel, but they definitely have some gaps in service from guest to guest, day to day.

"Cold weather, but beautiful hotel"
Rooms are spacious and beautiful. I had an issue in my room, and maintenance fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Top rooftop bar/restaurant was stunning with killer views. Fiesta Americana is a great brand, and this is a top notch property!
